A properly prepped and installed system typically lasts 10-20+ years in a residential garage. The single biggest factor isn't the coating brand — it's whether the concrete was mechanically ground before coating, versus just acid-etched or coated straight over.

Most residential garages are finished in a single day with a polyaspartic system. Epoxy systems can take one to two days depending on the number of coats and required cure time between steps.

Almost always the same reason: the prep step. Store kits rely on an acid-etch, which opens the surface far less than mechanical diamond grinding. Without a strong mechanical bond, the coating peels at high-wear spots — usually right where your tires sit — within a year or two.

For most polyaspartic systems, yes — often within 24 hours. Epoxy systems generally need a longer cure window before full vehicle weight, which we'll walk you through specifically at the time of your estimate.

Only if there's existing damage. During the free estimate we check for cracks, pitting, and moisture issues, and include any needed repair in the quote up front — not as a surprise add-on after the crew arrives.
